Welsh Mountain zoo needs our help!

  • by

The Welsh Mountain Zoo is the oldest and most established zoo in Wales, opening in 1963. The zoo has over 140 species in their 37 acres of lush green landscape overlooking Colwyn Bay and the Carneddau mountains.

The Welsh Mountain Zoo is now preparing to reopen on July 6th after closed for lockdown and losing more than £500,000 in income due to COVID-19. Whilst the gates have been closed, the dedicated and hard-working team have been continuing to provide the best care for their remarkable animals, as they always do. However, with 140 species to care for and with reduced running costs of more than £118,000 per month, the zoo really does need our support.

I have been visiting the zoo since I was a young girl, both with my family and with my scouting group and means a lot to me to keep this fantastic place open. It is such an amazing place to be and spend time with loved ones. Lots of memories have been made here, from watching the penguin walk or visiting the sea lions. I am sure a lot of people also have very fond memories of being at this special place too!

We have decided to donate 50% of every sale from the PS Aurora collection sold from now (24/6/20) now until 6/7/20, in the name of the PS Aurora family. Every little bit helps right now. Whether you give a little or a lot, we can help support the continuous care for the animals.
